Bordeaux and Beyond will again be at the Oxford Wine Festival to be held at The Oxford Union as in the previous 4 years. For details see www.oxfordwinefestival.org  – over 25 wine  merchants with special wines to taste and buy. We hope to see many of you there again this year. As usual Bordeaux and Beyond will present a selection of our wines, which as you know, are mainly from smaller independent vineyards and artisan wine-makers of France.

The new vintages from Chateau Fontenille arrived at our excise warehouse in early May – just as the April sunshine was replaced by chilly rain! However the lovely deep pink 2016 Fontenille Clairet will be splendid in the late May and June sunshine and the Fontenille 2016 Entre Deux Mers (Sauvignon, Semillon, Muscadelle) will go nicely with any fish lunches being planned for the patio!

Bordeaux and Beyond will once again be at the Oxford Union this coming weekend with a selection of wines open  for tasting and for sale by the bottle or 6 bottle case.

In our Bordeaux Classics range  – a super refreshing Graves Blanc 2015 the Chateau Respide Classic and a very drinkable Cadiot Merlot Bordeaux Supérieure 2014,  made by our Margaux supplier (Ch Larigaudiere )to show that Bordeaux can make “New World” style smooth, fruity reds for earlier drinking!  Also new is the 2009 Grand Cru St Emilion for Ch. With the arrival of the 2015 vintages of Domaine Carroir Perrin Sancerre blanc and the Domaine Patrice Moreux Pouilly Fumé, we appear to have beaten the arrival of any British summer sunshine!
