A regular Decanter award winner, Stéphane Defraine`s Entre-Deux-Mers leads the way in showing how good this wine can be when made with loving care and attention to detail. A highly unusual blend of 50:20:20:10 % of the above grapes, this is not your usual Entre Deux Mers . The Sauvignon Blanc provides the nerve and acidity, the Semillon the body with Muscadelle giving the lovely aromatic flavours and Sauvignon Gris adding elegance. This blend is very special, as most Bordeaux winemakers have given up with the difficult to grow Muscadelle, and rarely use Sauvignon Gris.
A unique blend of 4 white grapes , skin maceration for under one day, fermentation at low temperatures and aging on the lees. All conducted by a master wine-maker so the result can be regarded as “the Rolls Royce wine of Entre-Deux-Mers”!
A lovely light gold colour with an interesting nose of tropical fruits and sunshine. Fresh and fruity with light acidity the citrus and peach flavours come storming through to give a wine perfect with fish but also very drinkable on its own.
A wine that demonstrates just how good white Bordeaux can be!
